The
Japan Club of Victoria represented the Japanese society of
Melbourne in the Moomba 2003 parade. There were two main parts to
their involvement in the parade; wadaiko drumming and the Mikoshi. The
Wadaiko drumming
provides the timing for those carrying the Mikoshi
(portable Shinto shrine).
