I know Jpop is very popular music. But what about Jrock/Visual Kei.

I, being a VERY big fan of Japanese Rock and Visual Kei style is wondering if any one here knows of my favorite artist.

His name is hide (or Hideto Matsumoto). He is the legendary guitarist of the band X-Japan that broke in 1997.

Yes, I know quite a bit about Japanese Rock and Visual Kei and Indies...and Hide of course. It's hard not to knwo about him...

Haha they are all such old bands.
They are really nice though, i went through my Dir En Grey stage a long time ago. But in Japan, V Kei is starting to be looked down upon as a weird subculture group... somewhat like cosplay.

Still its a lot of fun listening to it Smile

Do you know "MONGOL 800" ?
They are from Okinawa.
The member is 3 people.
They write good lyrics.
I love their lyrics.
It is written about love, peace, emvironment and Okinawa.
I know that most lyrics are written by Kiyosaku. His position is vocal and bass.
I think he is great person!!!!!!
If he is not great person, he cannot write such a great lyrics.
I respect him.

He often write lyrics in English.
He is my senior my university. My major is English in school. So his major was English too.
The reason why I like English is him!!!!!!!!!
First, I studied English to understand his English.
I wanted to understand meanings of his lyrics in English, not translation.

I want to marry like him.

I also really enjoy Jpop. It sounds interesting and intriguing in my opinion, but of course, it only applies to some.

I absolutely love Miyavi and Dué le Quartz

An cafe and Karma Shenjing are good too.

And Silver Ash are a good visual kei chinese band.
