Well, hiya!
I'm starting with new forums about Japanese music. I just know few groups and singers, so if you wanna help, there'll be more activities if more users register. I leave the link here. I don't know if I can leave the link or not, so if I'm not allowed to, just erase this post and that's all.

|
|
| Long before the internet it was so difficult to get the music. My first intro to was the Yellow magic orchestra. The album was a cover of beatles tunes. My friend who lives in Yokohama sent me an album for my birthday years ago. I've followed the music since then. I have noticed that groups come and go in popularity very quickly. J-pop is certainly western influence, but I sincerely believe the music is coming into it's own. I have been trying to identify a group for years now with no luck. J-pop guru's out there here is a tough one. Even my Japanese friends can't answer because the movie was banned in Japan. Adness studio and the Nikkato Corporation in Tokyo produced the Freeway Speedway movies. Freeway Speedway 2 was made in 1990. The groups music was featured in the movie, with a talented female lead singer. Anyone know who this group is? Please help. |

| Thanks Josh, Well I was able to get an answer. The artist is Saori Saitou who released 7 singles back in the 80's. Not much info on her these days. Oh well, my age must surely be obvious! lol thanks again. |

They did a song for Cowboy Bebop.
Yoko Kanno is better musician. _________________ Baka!

any Pillows or Asian Kung Fu Generation fans here?
I've been buying Pillows albums for a couple of years now, and I'll be looking out for some of their older albums soon.
Asian Kung Fu Generation also have some great tracks, and I really like their music videos. _________________
