KANSAI AIRPORTKansai Airport - Kansai Airport is the main international airport servicing the Kansai region of Japan. Kansai Airport is the closest international airport to Osaka and Kyoto.Kansai Airport is formally known as Kansai International Airport (KIX; 関西国際空港 Kansai-kokusai-kūkō) (commonly incorrectly know as Osaka International Airport) is the main international airport of Japan's Kansai region, including the cities of Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe.
Built on an artificial island at
exorbitant cost, it is somewhat underutilized and thus possibly a better
entry point than perennially crowded
Narita Airport in Tokyo.
The Kansai Airport has a single terminal, reputedly the longest building in the world at 1.7 kilometres from end to end. Kansai Airport ArrivalsInternational arrivals are on the 2nd floor, where quarantine services are located. You then go down to the 1st floor for the customs inspections and arrivals lobby.
Foreign Exchange - the best option for obtaining
Japanese Yen seems to be withdrawing funds from your bank account via an
ATM. Ensure your account and card has the international transaction
facility enabled. Note: very few
ATMs in Japan accept foreign cards, but the Citibank and Japan Post do. Kansai Airport TransfersKansai Airport to Osaka - see detailed article. Kansai Airport to Kyoto - see detailed article.
