OSAKA BUSINESS PARK
Osaka Business Park is a district of Osaka
located close to Osaka Castle with many skyscrapers.
Osaka Business Park (normally referred to as OBP by the locals) is a
business district covering 26 hectares on the site of the former Osaka
Ordnance Works. Osaka Business Park is located in Shiromi, Chuo-ku,
Osaka,
Japan. This is directly North East
of Osaka Castle. Osaka Business Park is serviced
by the Osaka Subway (Osaka Business Park Station) and the JR Kyobashi
Station.
While first proposed by in 1964, Osaka Business Park did not really start
until 1984 with the official reassignment of the land. Construction work
began shortly after with the first buildings being completed in 1986. Today,
the Osaka Business Park (OBP) is one of Osaka's primary skyscraper clusters,
creating a stunning backdrop to the nearby landmark
Osaka Castle.
