Tsuruhashi area is the Korean town of Osaka. Tsuruhashi is famous for Korean restaurants.

Tsuruhashi (鶴橋) area is the Korean town of Osaka. Tsuruhashi is located in Ikuno-ku ward of Osaka, Japan. Tsuruhashi is well-known for the large number of Korean-Japanese citizens (Zainichi Korean) living there, as well as for its large number of yakiniku (Korean-style barbecue) restaurants. While the restaurants are run by people of Korean decent, the signs are all in Japanese.

Tsuruhashi

Many families from Korea have lived in the Tsuruhashi district for three generations or more. Many Koreans came to Japan in the period prior to World War II when Japan invaded Korea.
